Dr Claire Jenkins

MainPic

Claire graduated from the University Of Queensland in 2004. She completed her Post Graduate Membership in Small Feline and Canine Internal Medicine in 2010. She began practicing in West Footscray for 12 months until the travel bug bit her. She then did locum work around London for 18 months practicing in small animal clinics whilst seeing the sights in her free time.

Upon returning to Australia Claire practiced in Double Bay,  NSW.  This clinic was unique in the area offering 'doggy day care'. This is similar to childcare where pets are dropped off on the owner's way to work, entertained and then collected on their way home.

At home Claire has a 6 year old Kelpie named Red who was surrendered at a shelter 18 months ago. How lucky is Red that Claire is so soft hearted! Red has been hounding the other family member, Lily, the 5 year old Birman who now enjoys more of her time inside.  In her spare time Claire enjoys the odd game of tennis and running with Red.

Claire's professional interests are small animal medicine with a passion for dermatology.  She gains many rewards from practicing and has great pride in sending a patient home that has been hospitalised longer term. Reuniting a recuperating pet with their family is the ultimate satisfaction.

Dr Alex Kay

MainPic

Alexandra graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009. During her time there she had great exposure to many clinics gaining experience in small and large animal work in city and some rural practices. This helped her decision to concentrate on small/domestic animals in a practice close to home.

Before graduating Alex spent 6 months in 2007 backpacking around Europe where she was able to pursue her interest in skiing and seeing exotic parts of the world.

Upon arriving home Alex became the proud owner of Max her 5 year old black Labradoodle who is now a great mate of Tom her 13 year old moggy. Max is the spoilt family member who enjoys regular walks to the park and on occasions to the beach for a run and swim.

Since Alexandra has been with us she has fitted into our team like she was always meant to be here and has clients requesting her for revisits. Alex is available full time at our Greensborough Veterinary Hospital by appointment.
