Groomer: Molly Cronin

Molly Cronin has been part of our team since 2019.  She came to us with an extensive grooming background and has settled into her role with ease, being the laid-back, easy-going person she is.

After finishing school, Molly completed her animal studies certificate and then began at Cottage Kennels being ‘hands-on’ with the dogs.  She was responsible for bathing, medicating, and monitoring the behaviour of the boarders.  During this time, she discovered her passion for dog grooming.  This is when she began dog grooming on a full-time basis, originally at a grooming parlour and then through a pet supplies store.

At home, Molly’s family is made up of Ollie the 6-year-old black Kelpie and Roo, the 3 y.o., brown Kelpie who is a frequent visitor to the clinic.  These two active dogs are dominated by Indi and Octopuss, the feline component of the family.  They do exactly as they are told by the smallest members of the family.

Molly is quite an active person away from the clinic.  She was originally a swim instructor for 4 years and now dominates the local women’s football league. She is now gaining a following of clients requesting her for their pets.  Her casual nature makes the dogs relax and they do not suffer the anxiety that grooming in an unfamiliar environment can sometimes cause.  Included in a grooming appointment, we can also trim nails and express anal glands at the owner’s request.

Molly is grooming all breeds, from Maltese Terriers to stripping Samoyeds.  She will always have a chat to owners upon admittance, just so there is no confusion as to what their expectations are.  She is available to have a chat if you have any questions or want to book your pet in for a “spa treatment” session.

Surprisingly, for winter, there is a waiting list for our grooming appointments.  Due to this, we are now grooming at Greensborough 5 days per week and at our Rosanna clinic on Tuesday & Wednesdays.  As always, this is by appointment.
